Part of a Limited edition of 1250 issued to mark the 125th anniversary of the opening of the Buckfastleigh, Totnes and South Devon Railway on 1 May 1872. There is a coloured reproduction of the Company Seal. The set of 4 stamps were issued by Royal Mail on 13 August 1975 to mark the 150th anniversary of public railways. These have been carefully marked with a hand stamp depicting the front view of GWR 14XX class Autotank engine No. 1420.
